Floston J. Arthur; AKA “Flo” – Biography
Professional Athlete, INBA/PNBA
Who am I? A God fearing man, a decorated combat Veteran and one of our nation’s heroes; I am a US Army Leader of Soldiers, a loving father, supportive son, brother, and friend; a Certified Personal Trainer, Master Fitness Trainer, and an INBA/PNBA (International Natural Bodybuilding Association/ Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association) Professional Bodybuilder. Some of my passions are powerlifting, assisting others with physical fitness, and bodybuilding.
In February 2000, I participated in my first bench-press competition and won; it was a moment of fulfillment and accomplishment and became the catalyst for my passion and love of working-out. Working out is more than just a hobby, it is a lifestyle, and a personal choice to be a healthy and fit member of society. The thought of working-out excites and motivates me – and fitness training is a great reliever of stress and the best antiaging resource. Bringing others to this resource and experience are my goals.
On April 18, 2015, I competed in my first INBA/PNBA bodybuilding competition and earned first place, in the Open Mens Physique short category, and the overall Men's Physique winner. On August 22, 2015, I competed in my first NPC (National Physique Committee) competition and earned 2nd place in the Open Men's Physique Class-A. September 26, 2015 was my debut as a professional bodybuilder, I competed at the INBA/PNBA Team USA Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada; earning 2nd place, out of 10 competitors, and qualifying to compete in the 2015 Natural Olympia.
I am constantly asked about physical fitness; “what exercises to perform to build a particular muscle group?”, “what supplements do you recommend?”, “how to safely lose weight and get ripped?” and a myriad of other questions. It is fulfilling assisting people develop the motivation and dedication to towards better health and fitness. I live by three words of affirmation – commitment, dedication, and consistency. Living these words allow anyone to accomplish anything imaginable.
In the year 2015, I accomplished some important milestones in life and bodybuilding. Profound credit for my successes belong to God, who grants me health and strength, and the supporters and contributors of bodybuilding, health and fitness. I am truly blessed.
