Born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the landscape quickly became an important part of my childhood past time. I was skiing independently by age 2, and had climbed over 25 of the 48 White Mountains in the Appalachian’s Four Thousand Footer Club by age 14.
I was a Pop Warner football cheerleader for many years, played soccer for several seasons, and continued to ski every weekend throughout High School and College. In college, I pitched fast-pitch softball and played sand volleyball.
In 2012, I returned to sports and decided to give Spartan Race a try. I ran the Georgia Sprint and became instantly addicted.
In 2013, I participated in 8 Sprint and Olympic distance Triathlons, placing 1st
in age 4 times, 2nd in age 1 time, and 3rd in age 1 time. I ran my first long distance road race, the Atlanta Half Marathon, and did very well.
In 2014, I decided to take a year off from Triathlons, continued to cycle regularly, but focused more on running and OCR’s. I ran 5 Half Marathons, finishing 1st in my age group once. I also ran my first Marathon, the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, and placed 6th in my age group at 4:19.
I ended my 2014 Spartan Open Race Series Internationally Ranked 113th overall, 31st Female, and 7th in my Age. I placed 43rd in my age group in the Spartan Beast World Championship in Vermont that year and earned my Triple Trifecta.
I ended my 2015 Spartan Open Race Series Internationally Ranked 8th overall, 1st Female, and 1st in my age group. Highlights were finishing 1st in my age at the Hawaii Ultra Beast and 2nd in my age at the Vermont Ultra Beast. I also competed on the Woman’s LegendBorne Elite Relay Team at the ORCWC and fiercely retained our wristbands. I am the only female in the State of Georgia to have finished a Spartan Ultra Beast 2x.
2016 will be epic. I am on course to be the first female to hold a Spartan World Record for completing all 6 Spartan Ultra Beasts: New Jersey, Montreal, Hawaii, Slovakia, Vermont, and Sun Peaks.
I now reside in Atlanta, GA with my youngest son, Skyler, who races MotorCross for Team Kawasaki. My oldest son, Spencer, is a Junior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida. He is a Flight Instructor.
I am currently sponsored by LegendBorne OCR Wear, P4P Muscle, ZICO Coconut Water, PowerICE, FitRadio, and AquaBoom. I am also the Fashion Contributor, OCR/Race Blogger, and a Featured OCR Athlete in several issues of The Atlanta MultiSports Magazine.
